Welcome

Stories about social care, citizenship and community.

I have built more than four decades of experiences, conversations, ideas, mistakes, successes and questions- Some of them are worth sharing. This is where I tell my story.

About me

40 years – still asking questions.

I’m retired now, officially – which means I’ve swapped getting burnt out by the system\ for family caring. I now have time to write down the things that I didn’t always give myself the chance to express.

This blog is where I say the quiet parts out loud: that “person-centred” shouldn’t be a compliment you give a service for doing the bare minimum, that citizenship isn’t a reward for good behaviour. Pull up a chair- It’s more fun to be a pirate than join the navy
